Basic Science

Addiction ScienceAddiction research is conducted to gather valuable data that can be applied to the human condition. Addiction research is an extremely important step in understanding the behaviors and events associated with substance and alcohol abuse.  Clinical research rests on the foundation of this addiction research.

Addiction researchers at the Center for Drug and Alcohol Programs use a variety of experimental methods to increase the understanding of behaviors associated with alcohol and substance abuse.  These researchers are often investigating at a cellular level and with the use of rodent models.CDAP Researchers
